The Office of Inspector General is initiating an evaluation of the Office of Community Planning and Development’s (CPD) use of remote monitoring between October 1, 2018 and September 30, 2021. HUD OIG is reviewing HUD's Continuum of Care (CoC) spending.  Under the CoC Program, HUD provides funding to promote communitywide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness.  Between fiscal years 2017 and 2019, HUD made available between $2 billion to $2.3 billion annually for the CoC Program.

HUD OIG is performing research to help HUD's Community Development Block Grant Coronavirus pandemic (CDBG-CV) grantees be aware of known risks and lessons learned from audits and evaluations of the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program grants (CDBG-DR).

In accordance with our goal to review Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 grantees and because of weaknesses identified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) initiated a review of the City of San Antonio’s activities funded by its Neighborhood Stabilization Program 1 grant.

The Director of the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Oklahoma City Office of Community Planning and Development requested that we perform a corrective action verification of recommendation 1B in audit report 2008-FW-1012, The City of Tulsa, OK, Allowed Its Largest Subrecipient To Expend $1.5 Million in Unsupported CDBG Funding. We expanded the review to include recommendation 1C.
