Summary

HUD OIG is conducting an audit of nationwide reverse mortgage servicing. This review will focus on more than 13,677 Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) loans with a Maximum Claim Amount (MCA) of $3,232,040,045 from 2023 to 2025. Our objective is to determine whether the servicing provided is in accordance with HUD requirements and contractual agreements.
