Matt brings more than two decades of distinguished federal service and senior leadership experience, marked by a consistent commitment to integrity, accountability, and responsible stewardship of public resources. His career has been defined by advising senior government officials, leading complex legal teams, and reinforcing the structures that uphold public trust.
He joins HUD OIG from the Appraisal Subcommittee of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council, where he served as the General Counsel. His prior service includes roles as Associate General Counsel at the Department of War, Judge Advocate – Chief of Administrative Law in the U.S. Army, and attorney with the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General.
Matt holds a Juris Doctor from Widener University Commonwealth Law School and is a graduate of Arizona State University.
